DC United Soccer

Last Thursday of the month 6:30pm – 8:30pm (Subject to change)
Create a piece of art while sipping wine! No experience required. Taught by Studio Underground artist Justyne Fischer, these 2-hour classes will result in an original piece of art you can take home and enjoy. Created by YOU!

    • Synetic Theater emerged from the creative vision of founders Paata and Irina Tsikurishvili, Georgian artists who moved to the United States in the 1990s. Trained in dance, theatre and film, the Tsikurishvilis combine traditions of the Caucuses with distinctly American styles to tell classic stories through movement, music, technology and visual arts.
  • Birchmere
    • The reputation of the Birchmere is legendary. Many careers have started from this  internationally recognized music hall. On any given night, a star may be born. Mary Chapin Carpenter, Lyle Lovett, Shawn Colvin, Jerry Jeff Walker, Dave Matthews, Vince Gill, John Prine, Emmylou Harris, Linda Ronstadt, and k.d. Lang are just a few of the artists that have launched here at the Birchmere. The Birchmere is committed to the presentation of the highest quality music in a comfortable and intimate atmosphere.

Air Force Assn Cycling Classic
Saturday and Sunday June 13th and 14th 2015


The Air Force Association Cycling Classic (AFACC) is the region’s premier cycling event. This year’s AFACC, part of the USA Cycling National Criterium Calendar, takes place in Arlington featuring the Clarendon Cup (Saturday), Challenge Ride (Sunday) and Crystal City Cup (Sunday) and Kids Races on both days.



Crystal Care: A Father’s Day Car Festival

Celebrate this Father’s Day in style at the Crystal Car Show. A free Father’s Day auto festival, the day will feature a variety of exciting automobile categories including innovative electric vehicles, area sports car auto clubs, classic muscle cars, and a beer garden hosted by the Washington Wine Academy.  Bring the whole family for a relaxing day with Dad.

Vintage Crystal’s “Wine in the Water Park” combines sips and sounds to create an ambient outdoor event featuring interesting wine varietals and great music in the neighborhood’s signature Crystal City Water Park.

Grab some delicious take-out from local restaurants and kick back to the tunes from some of the best local music the area has to offer. Or, enjoy a beverage at the Beer Garden, featuring hops hand-selected by experts at Crystal City’s Washington Wine Academy and Crystal City Wine Shop, before dining in at any of the dozens of nearby restaurants on Crystal Drive or 23rd Street’s Historic Restaurant Row.

Celebrating its seventh year, the Crystal City FRESHFARM Market offers shopping from local farmers and producers bringing together seasonal fruits and vegetables, fresh-cut flowers, container plants and herbs, farm-raised eggs, all-natural meats, artisan baked goods, specialty foods and much more.  You may even see our Chef there getting local, fresh ingredients for our Cinnabar Restaurant


Races in the Washington DC Area

Nation’s Triathlon
Sunday, September 13th


The 10th Annual Events DC Nation’s Triathlon to Benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will take place in the nation’s capital, Washington, DC. It features a course that winds through Washington, DC’s monument corridor in the shadow of the nation’s best known memorials and national treasures. The International Distance triathlon, sanctioned by the USAT, includes a 1.5k swim in the Potomac River, 40k bike course through DC, and a 10k run through Washington, DC’s historical landmarks.

The Color Run, also known as the Happiest 5k on the Planet, is a unique paint race that celebrates healthiness, happiness and individuality.


Navy-Air Force Half Marathon
Sunday, September 20th


The half marathon race course starts and finishes in the shadow of the Washington Monument. Passing many of Washington, DC Memorials, the course takes runners along the scenic Rock Creek Parkway and fast and flat East and West Potomac Parks.


Army 10-miler
Sunday, October 11th
General Registration opens May 19th


The Army Ten Miler is the premier running event of the United States Army and is produced by the Military District of Washington (MDW). Runners from all 50 states and over 8 countries come to participate in the third largest 10 miler in the world. All race proceeds benefit Soldier MWR programs.


Marine Corp Marathon
Sunday October, 25th
Lottery Registration opens March 13th


Registered participants will embark on the 26.2-mile journey through Washington DC and Arlington, VA in the 40th MCM with 30,000 runners from all 50 states and 54 countries.


Sunday October 25th


Participants in the MCM10K (6.2 miles) will run the streets of the nation's capital and finish at the iconic Marine Corps War Memorial in Rosslyn, VA. The first two miles of the course tours the National Mall from the National Gallery of Art to the Capitol and past the Smithsonian Castle. After two miles, the course crosses the Potomac River on the 14th Street Bridge and runs to Crystal City.
